3D Diagnostics for Complex Cases
Digital Volume Tomography for Complex Malformations
Imaging diagnostics are performed using low-radiation digital X-rays or three-dimensional digital volume tomography (DVT). For complex malformations of teeth and jaws, diagnostics with a digital volume tomograph provides a reliable basis for planning. The high-resolution DVT images offer a detailed, 3-dimensional insight into the jaw structures and support therapy planning and monitoring. Already during planning, we receive precise information about the bone situation and the anatomical neighboring structures. Digital volume tomography enables us to create a spatial, distortion-free, and metrically exact representation.
Through the use of three-dimensional diagnostics, the examination possibilities in orthodontics and dental medicine have expanded considerably. The causes of unclear complaints can be better found and analyzed.
At the specialist orthodontic practice in Gelnhausen, we apply 3D diagnostics in these orthodontic areas:
- For complex malformations and dental misalignments
- For tooth and tooth root anomalies or tooth eruption disorders
- For retained and displaced teeth
- For pathological bone structures (e.g., cysts)
Low-radiation diagnostic procedures are the basis for an accurate treatment plan. For our patients, digital diagnostics means the gentlest possible treatment and aesthetically demanding results.
